PEETO is affiliated with Education New Zealand. ENZ is recognised by the New Zealand Government as the umbrella industry body for education exporters in New Zealand. PEETO is a member of Education Christchurch & Canterbury an umbrella leadership and promotions organisation for providers involved in the delivery and support of international education in the Canterbury region. Go to www.educationchristchurch.com for details.
PEETO is a member of the Refugee and Migrant Centre - the other member organisations being Christchurch Resettlement Support (CRS) and Refugee Services Aotearoa. The Refugee and Migrant Centre (RMC) was established in 1997 to respond to the needs of refugees and migrants living in Christchurch area and was the first such centre in New Zealand. The Centre provides an advice and referral service which aids individuals and agencies with resettlement issues".advice and referral service which aids individuals and agencies with resettlement issues". PEETO Co-Director, Patrick O’Connor, is the current chairperson of the RMC.
PEETO continues to retain membership and involvement in PITPONZ (Pacific Island Training Providers of Aotearoa). PITPONZ is a national body whose membership includes Pacific Island training providers throughout the country.
