Our Values

Empathy Empathy is the ability to accurately put yourself “in someone else’s shoes”– to understand the other’s situation, perceptions, and feelings from their point of view– and to be able to communicate that understanding back to the other person.
Compassion Compassion means suspending judgment so that you can appreciate others’ perspectives or situations when they are different from your own.
Respect Respect is when you accept somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing.
Inclusivity Inclusivity is when you create a culture where people gain “social acceptance”, have positive interactions with one’s peers and feel valued for who they are.
Authenticity We stand up for what we believe and openly share our points of view.
Excellence Excellence is what you strive for when you believe in what you are doing and that the value of what you do warrants the persistent commitment to its sustained achievement.

I am so glad to write down my thoughts about PEETO. A big thank you from me to my teachers who helped me to improve my English. I strongly recommend PEETO as a school to learn English. This school has a friendly atmosphere, you will feel comfortable to study English here. In my case, I made a lot friends in my class. I have more confidence to speak English and it’s easy for me to make a conversation with my friends. Other important things are that PEETO’s teachers taught me about kiwi culture and life experiences that help me quickly to adapt to New Zealand’s life. I really like PEETO with its interesting programmes and suitable timetable which makes it easy to arrange time to learn English.

I have been in NZ for 19 years but I mostly stayed at home. So my English had been getting worse and worse. I wanted to pick up my English and learn more. There are many English Language schools but the school times did not suit me. Half a year ago I heard about PEETO from my friend and so I came to this school immediately. Since I’ve been here I’ve made great progress and I feel more confident when I speak English. Our teachers are very friendly, patient and professional, my classmates are very kind. They come from many different countries. I’ve learnt about different cultures from them. So I feel very happy and thankful to study at PEETO.

"I have enjoyed my time at PEETO. The teachers were warm hearted and very helpful - I have studied at other places but the teachers weren't like PEETO teachers. The conversation classes were good with interesting topics. I learned a lot about the "Kiwi / English" values. I'm starting a full time job at a salmon factory this month. My long term plan is to buy my own business - a cafe or a dairy."
